About
John Howard is an award-winning printmaker and painter who has exhibited widely since 1988. On moving to Cornwall in 1995, John worked from a solo studio at home.
He was keen to find premises for a printmaking studio that would allow artists to advance their printmaking skills and provide a showcase for printmaking in Cornwall.
John Howard Print Studios opened in January 2007 at an iconic new eco-building at Jubilee Wharf on the Fal estuary in Penryn, Cornwall. John’s vision for the printmaking studio is of a high-quality and vibrant facility offering opportunities for new and experienced printmakers to develop their skills and expertise. He wants to develop the studio as a centre of printmaking excellence in Cornwall.
Please contact John Howard if you have any specific requirements to enable you to access the studio facilities.
The building is fully wheelchair-accessible.

The Studios

The print studio is equipped for etching, relief, monoprinting and photoetching and offers a programme of workshops and courses together with open access studio time. It can accommodate up to 10 people working at any one time. The studio also provides an editioning service and opportunities for display and sale of fine art prints and for demonstrating the art of printmaking to the wider public.
Jubilee Wharf

Jubilee Wharf is a new ‘green’ building, designed by ZEDfactory, which aims to be responsible for its own energy demands. The location is on the river at Penryn and the studio has views along the river to the harbourside at Falmouth. The building houses a number of other creative businesses, together with a café – Miss Peapod’s, ideal for lunch – and Jumblies, a children’s nursery.
